Floor preparation with a Scanmaskin Combiflex 650. We had to remove many layers of floor paint that been applied by the client and then grind the surface smooth. This was only a small snapshot of a much larger project. which involved full preparation as shown followed by application of two coats of high build epoxy coating incorporating walkways, demotion and lines.

Installation of 4000sqm of epoxy resin flooring to a helicopter maintenance hanger. The installation included full preparation of the concrete floor, repairs to the concrete, specialist oil treatment followed by two coats of Skydrol resistant epoxy resin floor coating. The project was finished off with demarcation lines.

The existing painted floor was prepared by vonarxing and grinding to get the floor back to a bare concrete surface. Minor repairs were carried out before two coats of high build epoxy resin flooring where installed, followed by final chemical resistant seal coat with a slip reducing aggregate. The chemical resistant seal coat was included to help prevent staining due to occasional aggressive chemical spillage. A central pedestrian walkway was included for safety reasons. Workshop hatchlings around a ramp and line markings to show parking and storage bays were also included in a contrasting colour.

The surface was prepared by dust controlled captive shotblasting. repairs carried out with a combination of two and three pack resin repair mortars. Installation of a polyurethane screed in a seafood processing facility. The client needed a failing MMA screed floor surface to be removed and then a hardwearing slip resistant surface to be installed in this constantly wet area. There floor area was subjected to regular vehicle movements of loads in excess of one ton and needed to be suitable for a food environment. ACL-Screed FS, polyurethane screed was chosen to be installed to provide all the required attributes required by the client.

We were testing this single phase machine as we sometimes struggle getting the three phase power we need for the bigger machines. This little machine did a great job of removing the existing painted surface while also preparing the concrete surface ready to receive the epoxy primer. It left a smooth surface leaving no ring marks.
